Last year I was lucky enough to be able to call the South of France home. I lived in a place called Toulon which is situated between Nice and Marsielle. I love travel so I spent the year finding as many new places as I could. For those of you lucky to be enjoying the Euro summer this year make sure you check these spots out!
Calanques in Cassis. I didnt know what they were till I googled them but basically the are inlets carved into limestone hidden among high sea cliffs so the water is phenomenal. This was one of our secret spots but after Kourtney Kardashian was seen hanging there a few weeks ago I’m not sure how secret it is now.
Cafe De Paris Monaco. Perfect for people watching and in typical Euro style all the chairs face outwards so as far as I’m concerned people watching isn’t rude, it’s encouraged.
There are so many amazing Michelan hat restraurants in Moncao but my personal favoirte while I was away was a great Asian fusion place in Six-Fours-les-Plages – which is quite different for France – mOOm bar and restaurant.
Strip shopping in Cannes. It’s right on the water and has the best brands! If you go during Cannes Film Festival the atmosphere is incredible and you have no idea the people you will see.
Best outdoor spot
Verdon Gorge. Look it up. You’ll die. Possibly one of my favourite spots in the world and yes the water really is that colour #nofilter. See it in the pic below!
Best restaurant with a view?
Le Vistamar in Monte Carlo. Not only is it a Michelin-starred restaurant but the views of the harbor are spectacular.
3 Must Dos:
Head over to the island Porquerolles and bike ride around the island, making sure sure you visit Notre Dame beach. It has some of the whitest sand in the world
Have a session of cryotherapy at Thermins Marin’s Monte Carlo
Visit Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc and take me with you. We never got there – it’s next on my list!
