Skipping is one of the cheapest, most effective fat burning workouts you can do, and not just something you had to do in primary school!

It tones the entire body in a balanced way, helps to fight cellulite by breaking up tissues, helps correct posture and improves balance and coordination. Still not sold? Experts say 10 minutes for skipping can have the same health benefits as a 45 min run. Alright now you are in Ill take you through my go-to skipping workout.

  • 30 seconds skipping with high knees
  • 10 seconds rest
  • 30 seconds criss cross
  • 10 second rest
  • 30 seconds left leg jump
  • 10 second rest
  • 30 second right leg jump
  • 10 second rest
  • 30 seconds side jump (jump to your left then to your right on both feet)
  • 10 second rest
  • 30 seconds high knees.
  • 10 second rest
  • 30 seconds freestyle (whatever you can improve speed)
  • 1 minute rest

Repeat circuit 3 times.


When buying a rope  there are two main types. These ropes are the best as they are very light (all the boxers use them) but they are also very painful if you get whipped by them.

So until you are on your way to becoming a pro I recommend these ropes.
